Accepted certificates and their recorded history are retained while the certificate service operates, subject to withdrawal, privacy, legal and abuse requirements. Uninstalling or temporarily disconnecting a site does not automatically delete its certificates. Keep portable evidence exports and your own backups. A new certificate counts once, when the repository first successfully accepts the evidence for a new publication. Backfilling older posts and pages uses the same allowance in the month they are first accepted. Ordinary revisions to an existing certificate, withdrawals and exact duplicate retries do not use another new-certificate slot. Each site’s allowance resets on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC. Unused allowance does not roll over. Once a site reaches 500 new certificates, additional new certificates wait for its next monthly reset. Yes. Connect sites you own or are authorized to manage, including client sites, using your verified buyer account. Each site has its own allowance. When purchasing opens, pay $299 USD through PayPal. We manually check and approve the completed payment, then an automatic verification email goes to your buyer account email. WP ContentLedger is a WordPress plugin for recording evidence about published content. It brings publication metadata, content fingerprints, revision relationships, and available supporting proofs into an inspectable history.

A publication certificate is a public view of a recorded work and its evidence. It can show the original URL, author and publisher as reported by the source, recorded versions, and verification results. The central repository gives each work a stable certificate address separate from the publisher’s website.

Open the certificate link provided by the publisher, or visit the certificate repository. Check the original source URL, select the relevant version, and review each evidence result. A pending or unavailable check should not be treated as verified.

Changes to supported content or certified metadata create a new certificate revision. Earlier records are retained under the repository’s publication and withdrawal policy, and the main certificate address continues to identify the work. Delivery status shows when the new revision has been accepted.

A certificate records evidence and attributed claims. Hashes, signatures, and timestamps can support particular integrity and timing checks, but they do not independently establish who wrote the content, who owns its copyright, whether it is original, or whether its claims are true.

No. When OpenTimestamps is enabled, a cryptographic commitment derived from the evidence is used for timestamping. The article itself is not stored on-chain. A repository receipt, a pending timestamp proof, and an independently verified Bitcoin timestamp are different evidence states.

No. A certificate presents metadata and evidence about a publication. An archive capture is a separate record of the page. Keeping a manifest or content fingerprint does not, by itself, preserve the complete article or let someone reconstruct it.

The central repository hosts records separately from participating WordPress sites. Separate hosting does not by itself establish independent governance. The service should identify its operator and explain exactly which evidence checks it performs.

The integration handles these changes as withdrawal events. Public certificate details can be suppressed while permitted audit evidence is retained. Publication, withdrawal, and retention policies determine what remains stored and visible; withdrawal does not erase every previously distributed copy.

Supported portable evidence exports can be inspected outside WordPress using the browser package checker at verify.wpcontentledger.com. What can be verified depends on the artifacts included and the verifier used. A content fingerprint alone cannot recreate a missing article, and evidence retention is different from guaranteed permanent availability.

ContentLedger makes publication evidence easier to inspect and connect to its source. Search engines and AI systems decide whether and how to use those records. The project does not promise rankings, citations, rich results, or an E-E-A-T score increase.

Certificate publishing is integrated into WP ContentLedger; a second plugin is not required. The repository and publishing workflow are live and being finalized.
